London Power has always built highly versatile amplifiers. Players ask, "what does your amp sound like?", to which we can only say, "what do you want it to sound like?" Versatility is a hallmark of London Power's guitar amps empowering the player to recreate any iconic amp sound and to create completely new sounds.

Musicians tend to use amps wherever they wish regardless of any "intended" application. So, the idea of using specific amps for stage and others for recording or practising is really just a marketing aesthetic. On the other hand, there are certain features or control ergonomics that lend themselves better to the studio environment. With Power Scaling built into every London Power amp, the player never has to worry about being too loud, and can use the same amp in all environs. This helps the player get to know the amp - you never have to re-adjust to a different amp for home or stage.

Our current amp products and accessories are each built into a sleek 3.5" high stainless-steel chassis and have rear-mounted tubes with bias test points and adjustments beside each tube. ANY of the common-pinout octal-based power tube can be used in pairs, or mixed, to achieve the desired tone. You are not limited in your amplifier choice by the tube choice made by the amp designer. Fit the optional rack-mounting ears for use in a standard 16” deep equipment rack.

What if you want a specific sound?

Although London Power  builds amplifiers that can reproduce the sounds of all of the iconic amp products past or present, you may specifically want just one of those sounds - but with Power Scaling built in. Check out the list of licensed Power Scaling amplifier builders. Many of these folks are very much into, say, Marshall, or Fender, or Hiwatt, or Vox, sounds - but have found that Power Scaling enhances the useful performance range of these icons. You can have specific voicing plus the Ultimate Loudness control.
