The controls are familiar: DRIVE,
HIGH, LOW, PRE-LEVEL, SEND, RETURN, LOUD, BODY
and POWER
SCALE. DRIVE
sets the saturation of the preamp distortion, shaped
by the two-way EQ. PRE-LEVEL
is akin to a master volume, but prior to the effects
loop. Four gain stages are arranged in what is now
a classic architecture for searing sustained lead
tones.
The loop can be set for mixing or series mode and
can be turned on/off via foot-switch.
LOUD,
BODY and POWER
SCALE control the pristine output stage.
If you want compression or crunch from the power amp,
you can get it at any volume. But if you want the
preamp tone to be unaltered, you've got that, too.
BODY
dials in warmth for both SE and PP modes.
