The
QRK uses an IC to provide selection between up
to four voices in an amp. These may be individual channels,
channels with 'boost' options, etc., but represent distinct
tones that the player wishes to access. The QRK
allows direct random access from any one sound to any
other using four footswitch buttons. Four LEDs indicate
the selection made, and the chip can drive any number
of shunt-connected jfets from any of its control lines.
The user can add BJTs to switch relays where series
switches are required.
The
QRK operates from a negative rail to be compatable
with n-channel jfets, but can be operated from a positive
rail in other situations. Multiple QRKs can be
linked together either to extend selection past 1-of-4
or to provide multiple controller locations with two-way
communication.
