Buying from outside Canada? No problem! In fact, if you are accustomed to dealing in US dollars, and if the value of the Canadian dollar is significantly lower than the value of the US dollar, you may get a pleasant surprise on your next credit card statement.
Our prices are quoted and charged to your credit card in Canadian dollars. At present (January/February 2010), the Canadian dollar is worth 94¢ to 1 dollar USD.
For our American customers using US credit cards, your credit card company performs the conversion, and on your credit card statement you will see the Canadian dollar amount followed by the amount charged to your card in US dollars. At today's currency values, that USD amount will be about the same or slightly less than the numerical value in Canadian dollars.
International customers will see a similar conversion to your local currency on your credit card statement. If you are accustomed to working with US dollar values, bear in mind that the Canadian dollar is worth around the same or slightly less depending on current values.
Although the Canadian dollar typically has a somewhat lower value that the US dollar (representing a bargain if you are accustomed to US dollar values), conditions may change slightly from day to day. Happy shopping!
