50W STUDIO amp owner:
"the amp is unbelievably
good, i can hardly believe it´s mine. i´ll be having lots of questions
and
opinions after i get som mileage behind. the first thing that struck me
was
that the amp has a huge bottom end. i thought that my sovtek had great
bass,
but this is something else. the next thing that struck me was my
speakers.
my old greenbacks were such good speakers with my old amps, but it´s
very
obvious they´re not up to what this amp delivers. i´m waiting like hell
for
my webers to arrive.
now i see what you ment when you said that the different settings have
the
least effect on the 6v6´s. if i was to build a simple amp from scratch,
i
would probably build it around 6v6´s, because they seem to be the
easiest to
get a good enough sound out of. the el34´s must be the most difficult
ones,
because your amp is the first one with el34´s that i´ve ever liked. the
usually sound too much "power amp", in someway.
neil young-sound? aaa-ha-ha-ha-ha.... who needs that any more? he sounds
like a vacuum cleaner compared to this amp."
50W SESSION amp owner:
"This thing out-tweeds the tweed amps I own."
50W STUDIO amp and SUSTAINOR preamp owner:
"When I plyed through Mesas I thought it was my technique that didn't
have touch response. With the Studio I have lots of responsiveness so I
realise it was the amp holfding me back. Now with the preamp, all the
sweet spots of the amp are wider."
10W STUDIO amp and SESSION 112 speaker owner:
"Wow! Now I can nail the Neil Young sound at any volume."
50W STUDIO amp owner:
"I really love the amp, and am
having a great time with it."
50W STUDIO amp owner commenting on another player trying it:
"(name withheld) really liked your amp. He sat playing it for an hour,
and every once
in a while you could hear him say "Holy shit!" with an impressed voice
with a tad of envy in
it.
He also said that the right person to have this kind of amp would
definitely be Jeff Beck."
